Simulate to the End of a Season
Play through your season normally until you reach the finale. You can use the "Skip to End" button to quickly simulate the entire season if you prefer. Make sure the season is completely finished with a winner declared before proceeding to save.
2
Click 'Save Franchise' and Give It a Name
Once your season is complete, look for the Save Franchise button on the results screen. Click it and give your franchise a memorable name like "My Horror Island" or "Season 1-3 Collection". This saves your season data to your browser's local storage.
💡 PRO TIP:
Export Your Save Files! Local storage can be cleared by browser updates, cache clearing, or switching browsers. Always export your franchise files for safekeeping!
3
Export Your Save File (Highly Recommended!)
Go to the main menu and click Load Franchise. You'll see your saved franchise with an 📥 Export button. Click it to download your franchise as a .json file to your computer. This protects your save in case you use a different browser or clear your cookies/cache.
4
Save New Seasons with Different Names
After completing each new season, save your updated franchise with a new name (e.g., "My Horror Island S1", "My Horror Island S1-2", etc.). You can safely delete the old versions from the Load Franchise screen to keep your saves organized.
5
View Results to See All Your Seasons
Click View Results when loading a franchise to see all your seasons in one place! You can switch between seasons using the dropdown menu, view voting histories, edgic charts, and track your franchise statistics across multiple seasons.
⚠️ IMPORTANT:
Browser Storage Limitations: Browser local storage can be cleared automatically. Always keep exported .json files as backups of your important franchises!
🎯 BEST PRACTICES:
- Export frequently: After every 2-3 seasons
- Use descriptive names: "Returnee All-Stars S1-4" instead of "Save1"
- Keep backups: Store .json files in a dedicated folder
- Screenshot Edgics: Take screenshots before adding new seasons to multi-season franchises
- Import before continuing: If switching devices, import your .json file first
6
Important: Screenshot Your Edgic Charts
Current Known Issue: The Edgic ratings may regenerate randomly after saving multi-season franchises (this will be addressed in a future update). If you care about preserving your exact Edgic data, take screenshots of your Edgic charts and save them separately. Note: Single season saves maintain accurate Edgic data.
📸 TEMPORARY WORKAROUND:
For Multi-Season Franchises: Screenshot your Edgic charts before saving additional seasons. Single season franchises preserve Edgic data accurately.
